Mare Fuori/The Sea Beyond – Platinum Disc Award to the theme song ‘O Mar For’

 

New record for the popular series “Mare fuori / The Sea Beyond”, produced by RAI and Picomedia. With over 35 million streaming, the theme song ‘O Mar For’ composed by Stefano Lentini, Lorenzo Gennaro, Matteo Paolillo and published by Edizioni Musicali Rai Com, is certified platinum. Soundtrack of the series is distributed by Believe Italia, all three seasons have already exceeded 54 million streaming. The single ‘O Mar For’ was included in 19 playlists, with two playlists covers, made it in the Top 100 singles, and Top 50 Italy. The ceremony took place this morning at Rai Com’s headquarters where Luca Daher, Believe Italia managing director, presented the Platinum Award to Angelo Teodoli, Rai Com CEO.Angelo Teodoli commented: “Rai Com publishes a lot of music and “Mare Fuori” is offering great visibility to our activity, it’s with pride that we receive this platinum recognition. Music is one major cultural vector”. For composer Stefano Lentini: “Mare Fuori is not only a television show as it has become a full immersion experience: musical, emotional and cultural. I hope more can be done for the detention conditions of those living in the juvenile institution and that this great experience can also improve the concreteness of things”. Young author and producer Lorenzo Gennaro (Lolloflow) was among the award-winners: “Mare Fuori is my first real important work, this apprenticeship has marked my artistic growth, I owe very much to the series and the experience it is giving me”. Raiz, actor, singer-songwriter is among the interpreters of ‘O Mar For’ in the third season: “It was a very inspiring work, quite difficult at the beginning but then the stories made it to the heart of people”. ‘O Mar For’ -and the entire soundtrack- is the demonstration that a song, even sung in an unfamiliar language, can fascinate and be the vector of important messages to the audience”. The ‘Mare fuori’ project, with Rai Com at the forefront, will also see the publication of a book dedicated to the series.
