Over 90 international buyers gathered in Assisi to preview the Rai 2026 catalogue: welcome to the Rai Com Screenings, the annual event that concluded today, April 17. The summit brought leading audiovisual industry players to Umbria from Europe, the United States, Japan, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, China, and many other countries. Claudia Mazzola (President) and Sergio Santo (CEO) of Rai Com welcomed representatives from public broadcasters, commercial networks, and digital platforms who arrived to discover the latest releases.
Among the most viewed fiction series were: Una finestra vista lago; Cagnaz; Il commissario Buonvino; L’Invisibile; Se fossi te; Roberta Valente. Notaio in Sorrento
Significant attention was also given to new crime and biographical projects, including La buona stella and Il giudice e i suoi assassini. Beyond the series, the project generating the most interest was the documentary “Pinocchio,” produced to mark the bicentenary of Carlo Collodi’s birth. The presentation also featured children’s programming, major cultural and musical events, and a vast catalogue including hundreds of classic films and thousands of hours of television content.
The Screenings served as a strategic showcase for Italian audiovisual productions, which are increasingly appreciated abroad, and provided an opportunity to strengthen collaborations with global broadcasters. With 4,000 titles, over 600 catalogue films, 700 classic films, and over 8,000 hours of television products, Rai Com stands as one of the world’s leading content providers for broadcasters and distribution companies.
The product presentation evening, hosted by TG1 journalist Nathania Zevi, featured lead actors from various series, including Cesare Bocci, Francesca Inaudi, Andrea Roncato, Guido Caprino, Lucia Mascino, Antonio Folletto, Giulia D’Aloia, and director Giacomo Campiotti. Local honors were performed by the President of the Umbria Region Stefania Proietti, Regional Councilor Simona Meloni, and the Mayor of Assisi Valter Stoppini.
The event, held at the Palazzo del Monte Frumentario in the heart of Assisi’s historic center, also facilitated discussions with over thirty Rai Com partners involved in the international distribution of Rai Italia, Rai 1, Rai 2, Rai 3, Rai News, Rai Storia, and Rai Scuola.
“The Rai Com Screenings are a key event for Rai’s international presence in the audiovisual sector,” says Sergio Santo, CEO of Rai Com. “They are an opportunity to promote the great Italian stories told in our fiction and documentaries, and to offer the world Rai’s major events, cultural productions, children’s programs, TV movies, and the entire catalogue.”
