THE NEW DIGITAL PRODUCTION FORMS TAKE CENTER STAGE IN THE SECOND EDITION OF ADE, ORGANIZED BY THE APULIA FILM COMMISSION AND RAI COM WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE REGION OF PUGLIA AT THE APULIA FILM HOUSE (FIERA DEL LEVANTE). THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOCUSES ON THE APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE FILM AND AUDIOVISUAL INDUSTRY, THE CREATION OF IMMERSIVE CONTENT, AND DEVELOPMENTS IN THE METAVERSE.
The world of cinema and audiovisuals is confronting the revolutionary introduction of Artificial Intelligence and technological advancements. The ongoing transformations across all stages of content production, from ideation to creation and distribution, are at the heart of the second edition of ADE, Apulia Digital Experience, an international conference dedicated to digital innovation in the creative industries, held in Bari from October 25 to 27 at the Apulia Film House (Fiera del Levante).
Panels to look forward to include: Evolving Landscapes: Is Technology Nurturing Creativity?, an analysis of digital scenarios related to creative fields; AI in Film & Audiovisual, exploring the opportunities and challenges created by Artificial Intelligence; Movies in the Metaverse, Metaverse in the Movie Theatre, discussing how traditional cinema spaces are adapting to change by embracing virtual experiences; The AI Act: Implications for the Film and Audiovisual Industry, focusing on regulation, future challenges, and recent updates on Italy’s fiscal incentives for the sector.

A key roundtable discussion, Building Global IPs, will address the development of successful intellectual properties across multiple platforms, while panels like Building Immersive Storytelling: VR, AR & Metaverse will delve into how immersive technologies are impacting storytelling. Other sessions include Virtual Production for Film and Audiovisual, covering real-time visual effects, digital environments, and motion capture; Digital Transformations: The New Frontier of Content, which will explore how content is adapting and evolving in the digital era; and Technological Advancement in Animation and VFX, focusing on optimizing processes and talent scouting. Additional discussions will touch on how digital innovations are reshaping licensing and generating new business opportunities in the industry, as well as the impact of immersive technologies on storytelling.
Two contests are scheduled: the Digital Licensing Excellence Awards, the world’s first award celebrating digital licensing projects, and A Visual Storytelling of Puglia through AI, which promotes the use of Artificial Intelligence to create and produce innovative stories highlighting Puglia’s geographic beauty and cultural heritage.
