Leonardo da Vinci

The exhibition dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci offers a comprehensive overview of his catalogue of works, presenting paintings that have become part of our shared cultural heritage. These range from the Annunciation to the Virgin of the Rocks, to absolute masterpieces such as the Last Supper and the Mona Lisa, among the most popular and influential paintings of the Renaissance. Works that still generate awe and admiration for their complexity and depth today. For Leonardo, painting was more than a means to an end: it was a tool of knowledge, scientific research, and experimentation. He saw art as an intellectual activity, a vehicle for understanding reality through the observation, imitation and interpretation of nature, unravelling the mysteries of the “great machine of the world”.
