The Rai Fiction Fast channel dedicated to “Un medico in famiglia” launches on Samsung TV Plus

The new Rai Fiction FAST channel, entirely dedicated to Un medico in famiglia, is launching on Samsung TV Plus, channel #4230.

One of the most iconic and long-running series in Italian television history, originally broadcast on Rai 1 from 1998 to 2016, will be available with all 10 seasons and 286 episodes, free of charge, through Samsung’s FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming) service Samsung TV Plus that is preinstalled on Samsung Smart TVs (from 2016 onwards), as well as on Samsung smartphones and tablets, with no subscriptions or additional costs required.

The channel will launch with the 52 episodes of the first season, scheduled in a 24/7 linear format. Five new episodes will be aired daily in prime time, with weekend marathons allowing viewers to catch up on the entire week’s episodes. Un Medico in famiglia is the first of the Rai’s FAST channel lineup, dedicated to showcasing and enhancing the great titles from the public broadcaster’s archive.

The series has marked over two decades of Rai prime-time television, winning over at least two generations of viewers. At its heart are the stories of the Martini family, led by the unforgettable Grandpa Libero, in a narrative rich in affection, everyday life, and irony. The main cast includes Lino Banfi (Grandpa Libero), Giulio Scarpati (Lele Martini), Claudia Pandolfi (Alice), Lunetta Savino (Cettina), Milena Vukotic (Enrica), and Enrico Brignano (Giacinto).
