David di Donatello 2023, awards to Esterno notte and Settembre

David di Donatello, Cinema that rewards Cinema! During a live show broadcasted on national Rai 1, tv hosts Carlo Conti and Matilde Gioli announced the prizes awarded by the Academy of Italian Cinema. Four awards to Esterno Notte, a Rai Fiction co-production, that  recalls the dramatic days of Aldo Moro’s kidnapping: Best Director to Marco Bellocchio, Best Actor in a Leading Role to Fabrizio Gifuni, Best Editing Francesca Calvelli with the collaboration of Claudio Misantoni, and Best Makeup Enrico Iacoponi. The film Settembre, co-produced by Rai Cinema and distributed internationally by Rai Com, received two awards: Best Leading Actress to Barbara Ronchi and Best Director debut to Giulia Louise Steigerwalt. Rai 3 will broadcast Esterno Notte on May 12th and May 13th, the film is also available on DVD and Blu Ray.
